The first lady of Hollywood past away on June 29, 2003 at the age of 96 in Old Saybrook. Born in Connecticut, she attended Bryn Mawr College where she was an actress in college plays. In 1928 she first appeared on the stage, and in 1932 first appeared in a motion picture, A Bill of Divorcement. She was known for her portrayal of strong women at a time when many believed that such images were box office poison. Her relationship both on- and off-screen with actor Spencer Tracy (films from 1942-1967) were a matter of some notoriety. During her lifetime she played in more than 50 movies and won four Oscars for her acts in "Morning glory" (1933), "Guess who's coming to dinner" (1967), "The lion in winter" (1968) and "On golden pond" (1981). Looking at the dictionary it means two things, Gay as being homosexual and Gay as being cheerful.Keeping that in mind and looking at the Gay parade I guess that both descriptions, given by the dictionary goes for the Gay parade. I mean: it is a parade on the water with cheerful folks watching many different show boats, like it were a carnival on the water, on the canals in Amsterdam. On these showboats you could see many different, happy and smiling, homosexuals having the time of their life. Looking at this parade from the platform where I stood, was great. Being surrounded by thousands of people, Gay and Straight, all together with no violence or hate. <

Tuesday, January 30, 2007 A California court made it clear to Apple that if the company wanted to find out who leaked details of an in-development product to bloggers, they'd actually have to do it legally. That lesson cost the company almost $700,000 in legal fee reimbursement. This drama begins in 2004, when Mac fan sites AppleInsider and PowerPage reported the technological details about a product codenamed "Asteroid." Apple sought the identity of the sources who leaked the information by filing suit against the bloggers, and subpoenaed their email records from email service provider Nfox.com. The company claimed that the reports violated California's trade secret laws. Astronomers Catch First Stirrings of a Supernova
