Heather moved to London at the end of the 80s. A demo copy of the

song "New Love" finally gave Heather an opportunity to do a few

small performances in London. One of them was at The British

Academy of Songwriters and resulted in a first album 'These

Walls' which contained 'New Love' and three other songs and later

became a rare and valuable item. Anyway, Heather did not have

many success with it then. This album was recorded in 1990

In 1993 she met ex-Killing Joke guitarist Youth who recognized
her talent and gave her the opportunity to record her first album
'Glowstars' which was released in May 1993 on Youth´s
Butterfly label. It contained the single 'Spirit in you' which was
released in April. During that time Heather changed her family
name Frith into her stage name, Nova. 'Glowstars' received also
the attention of the media.

Heather started touring outside of the UK in 1993. Some
of her live shows were recorded and a live record titled
"Blow" was released in 1993. It was recorded when she
played some supporting gigs for Bob Mould and The
Cranberries.

In 1994 Heather started recording the album that
actaully granted her breakthrough. 'Oyster' was
released in 1995 and was followed by a
Worldtour that ended in 1996. The single-release
'Walk This World' was a major success and
catapulted Heather into the lime-light. For most
fans this is their first contact with Heather Nova.

After the Worldtour in 1995, from which another live recording ('Live
from the MilkyWay', recorded at Amsterdam - the Netherlands)
appeared on the market, Heather returned home to Bermuda to relax,
sort things out and write more songs.

Her new album, 'Siren', which was sold over 400,000 times

and originally should have been released in 1997, was

delayed again and again and finally released in 1998. It

contained two more singles: 'London Rain' and 'Heart And

Shoulder' which got decent radio play all over Europe.

2001 was a year of something new. Heather surprised all fans
with a mix of her old and a new music style. Her newest album,
called 'south', has been released along with the two singles "I'm
no angel" and "Virus of the mind". This Album was going more
and more away from the rock style into a pop style.

      Heather's
music is real and tells a lot about her life experience. She is unlike
most artists that you see around the world because she finds it more
important to create music that comes from the heart, instead of
creating music for commercial reasons, which is why she left V2 records
and record her new album "Storm" in New York and cooperates nowadays
with BigCat Records.
