Hi, my name is Beata and I am coming from the Netherlands. I was born in Poland and I moved to the Netherlands when I was a young girl.

I love Heather’s music and my favorite Heather Nova album is Storm, but I also like the Oyster album and some songs of the Siren album.

I have done the song “I wanna be your light” for the cd project that Cynthia started and I was afraid at first to do the song because Heather got such a golden voice. I cannot compete with her (I do not want to either), and Cynthia explained to me that it was not a competition.

She explained to me that doing the song was okay because the cd project is to pay honors to Heather Nova from her fans all over the world.

After this explanation I decided to go for it because I loved Heather’s song so much and I really wanted to do it. I am glad that Cynthia offered me the possibility to do the song and yeah, the song is a bit slow (it was Cynthia’s idea to change the music a bit to make things easier for me) and I am glad that I had the chance to sing Heather’s song. Not as beautiful as Heather, but then again: I do not have to compete with Heather (it is impossible anyway).

I hope to do another Heather Nova song for the project with Cynthia and I hope to see Heather on stage this year (I have never seen her before on stage, but Cynthia told me so much about it that I regret the moment that I did not).
